Curetage: The System for Prevention of Hair Loss
.

Reasons for Hair Loss

Root Stimulator
  • Alopecia Universalis - Complete hair loss, sometimes including facial and body hair. There is no known reason nor any age relationship. Regrowth is hardly ever expected or experienced if the loss occurs as a child.
  • Trichotillomania - This type affects mostly children and is the actual pulling out of ones own hair. Curetage offers a quicker, more complete rejuvenation of bald spots and of thin broken hairs than any other product on the market. Plus, it is all-natural so it is also safe for children.
  • Alopecia Areata - Sudden hair loss in patchy areas. This most often occurs in children and young adults.
  • Age related hair loss is much more common. These types can be classified as follows:
    • Involutional Alopecia - A gradual thinning located over most of the head and usually age related. More and more follicles enter a resting stage known as the telogenic phase. This leaves the remaining hairs shorter, less dense, and fewer in quantity. The Curetage system penetrates each hair strand with wheat amino acids carrying panthenol and other humectants to increase the size and strength of each hair. This gives thin hair more volume. Curetage has Panthenol as well as eight natural vasodilators to increase the blood supply and nutrient level in the root of the hair. This helps prolong the growth period so fewer follicles enter the telogenic phase.
    • Androgenic Alopecia - A genetically predisposed condition that affects both male and female. The hair becomes thin in very distinct patterns.
      • Male Pattern Baldness - Begins to occur as early as the late teens or early 20's. Starts with a noticeably receding hairline, then gradually thins in the crown area.
      • Female Pattern Baldness - Hair becomes slightly thin all over with an increased thinning at the crown. Effects often don't show until women are in their forties or later. Thinning at this age can also reflect a hormonal imbalance.

Stress Related Hair Loss

  • Stress from rapid weight loss, prolonged illness, tragedy, surgery and anesthesia, and major life decisions can cause temporary hair loss. Perming, coloring, or bleaching hair can sometimes cause thinning by making the hair strand weak. Certain hairstyles, such as tight pony tails or tiny braids, for example, may create bald spots by actually pulling the hair from its roots. Once the cause of stress is removed, the chance of a full recovery of thickness is about 90%, but will probably take a few years. With a system of treatment products such as Curetage, this length of time will be reduced to a few months.

Medically Related Hair Loss

Telogen Effluvium

Early treatment is the best chance for the quick and complete reversal of temporary hair loss. High fever, severe illness, unbalanced hormones, childbirth, and extreme stress can cause this condition, known as telogen effluvium. To prevent further thinning, it is beneficial to protect the remaining weak and brittle hairs from further damage.

Diseases and Medications

Hair loss and thinning can be caused not only by illness, but also by the treatments for illness. Diuretics, blood pressure pills, oral contraceptives, and certain types of skin and fungal infections may all cause temporary thinning. Chemotherapy is probably the best known cause of hair loss. Starting on the complete Curetage System two months prior to starting chemotherapy dramatically reduces the chance of hair loss. Products need to be used consistently every day for maximum results. Root Stimulator V can be applied sparingly to the eyebrow up to twice daily if facial or body hair loss is experienced.

Hormonal Unbalance

Estrogen protects against hair loss, but when estrogen decreases, testosterone increases. Oral contraceptives, which contain testosterone, may wreak havoc on estrogen levels. Menopausal women also experience a loss of estrogen. This loss may cause the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase to react, making DHT (dihydrotestosterone). This hormone causes the hair follicle to shrink from deposits making the existing hairs very thin and fragile.

Curetage uses biotin (vitamin H) to remove DHT deposits and reopen clogged follicles.

Root Stimulator V contains saw palmetto extract, one of nature's most effective medicinal plants that is used to lessen the effect of overproduced testosterone by inhibiting the 5 alpha enzyme. Click for more details on other medicinal plants and vitamins.

High or low levels of thyroid hormones can effect the density and condition of hair and cause thinness and brittleness. When thyroid levels are regulated with medication, hair loss usually stops, but it may take one or two years for the hair to return to its normal thickness. Curetage can not only stop the loss of hair due to thyroid imbalance, it can repair the condition of existing hair. Its products are gentle and completely safe and can be used every day by anyone as all-natural shampoos and treatments.

Cosmetic Plastic Surgery

Scalp reduction involves tightening the back and sides of the scalp. Extra circulation is needed to nourish the now stressed areas. Like reduction, transplants and "plugs" are painful and costly and neither of these procedures retard genetic or age related thinning.

With a doctor's recommendation, a transplant or reduction can be used as a last resort.

Clinical studies show a 94% approval rating in the regrowth of hair on subjects using the Curetage Complete System.
